As of today, we are still waiting for official guidance from our local health department for clarity with the return to school re-opening plan. Last night at our Board of Education meeting, we discussed a tentative re-opening plan. A few community members attended and shared their beliefs and concerns about mask-wearing. At this time, the Illinois Department of Public Health has adopted all of the guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control. This adopted guidance gives more local control for decision-making. However, a big piece of this guidance involves consulting directly with your local health department. This is the information we are waiting for.

We have not shared our re-opening plan yet as we expect to receive more clarity and guidance in the coming days. We understand that this is frustrating for all: students, staff, and the community. We want to assure you the health and safety of all of our Hollis Hawks continue to remain our number one priority.
