Food Allergies

According to the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Connection Team (https://www.foodallergyawareness.org/), Nine foods account for 90 percent of all food allergy reactions. These nine foods include the following: 

    • Peanuts
    • Tree nuts (cashews, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
    • Milk
    • Egg
    • Wheat
    • Soy
    • Fish (halibut, salmon, etc.)
    • Shellfish (crab, lobster, shrimp, etc.)
    • Sesame 

Working together with our food service provider, Aramark, we follow the guidelines outlined in our School Allergen Readiness Plan. In addition to this resource, students with food allergies should have an emergency action plan on file in the office.
