First Day of School Recap
Hello Hollis Hawks,
It was a great first day back! The kids did an amazing job with social distancing and mask wearing. Kudos to you as parents for preparing them so well. Here are a few things that will make tomorrow a little easier:
1. Please make sure your child wears the black lanyard with the red symptom checklist attached. When you place this lanyard on your child in the morning, you are certifying that they are not currently experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. Temperatures will still be taken upon arriving at school and prior to boarding the school bus.
2. If your child is a car rider, please utilize both lanes in the drop off circle. This will help with traffic congestion on Tuscarora Road.
3. We realize morning drop off traffic moved a little slower today. Hopefully, this process will speed up with practice. For safety purposes, please only exit the line after your child has passed the temperature screening and safely exited the car.
4. To help students after school, parents are asked to stand next to their vehicles. This will allow students to locate their rides a little faster and travel safely through the parking lot.
Thanks again for a great first day! As always, please let us know if you have any questions.
