Latchkey/Preschool For All
Wednesday, October 20, 2021
Dear Hollis and Preschool For All Staff, Students, Parents,
As I am sure already know, we made a decision to discontinue offering our Latchkey program to Preschool for All Students last week. We began our first year offering a preschool program at Hollis last year excited about expanding great programs with high expectations. This year has been vastly different with fully in-person teaching and the overall operations of the program within our school. The Hollis Latchkey Program is not part of the Preschool for All program, but one we are still willing to offer to PFA for this school year and then we will re-evaluate at the end of the year. Continuing the Latchkey program for PFA students will require some procedural changes.
All preschool students must be potty trained to attend the Latchkey Program. Every effort will be made to provide a separate location for our youngest students to assist their social-emotional needs. An additional Latchkey supervisor will be responsible for this group. As mentioned in the Latchkey Agreement, chronic misbehavior will not be tolerated. Upon the third documented offense of misbehavior, the student will be removed from the Latchkey program.
Lastly, at this moment, the Hollis Latchkey Program is full. We are not accepting any new applications until further notice.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Chad Jones Superintendent
